Predator Conservation Alliance, founded in 1991, works to conserve and restore ecosystem integrity by protecting predators and their habitats.
Surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountains, PCA's headquarters are based in the mountain town of Bozeman, MT. and is "saving a place for America's predators".
Black bear, black-footed ferret, burrowing owl, coyote, ferruginous hawk, fisher, grizzly bear, lynx, marten, mountain lion, northern goshawk, swift fox, wolf and wolverine have been hunted to the point of extinction by man for centuries out of fear and ignorance.
PCA is a unique organization because it fills an important niche in the conservation community by focusing on all predator species in the Northern Rockies and High Plains regions; collecting and sharing the best scientific information to determine each predator specie's ecological needs, conditions and threats; pursues all administrative, legal and public pressure avenues and builds an informed and active constituency to secure adequate protection for predators and their habitats.
It's pretty easy to rally support to save cute and cuddly animals such as Koala Bears and baby Harp Seals but few people are moved by the plight of our wolves and coyotes.
Only support from concerned people can help stop the prediction of a world that exists without the sound of a coyote or wolf's howl echoing through the night.
