I don't know whate It doesn't look good ... for the community. I think we will have to evacuate the community! We'll move somewhere else. There are disasters happening all over the world. It's happening here!

    MOTHER EARTH MONDAY
    INUIT WARNING!
    Edited by Ganymede

Temperatures are rising and the ice is melting. If you doubt it, take a look at the video with the link on the left or the one below. The native people of North America tells the story first hand.

Today I want to share Sila Alangotok Inuit Observations on Climate Change, a truly disturbing video that documents the swift changes in the annual snow and melt. The land and sea are in upheaval. "The ice is not as thick as it used to be," says Roger Kuptana, so the people must be very careful now when traveling. There is mud where solidly frozen land once reigned.

The permafrost is lost. Summertime ice floes are gone. The ways of the Inuit and the wild life that they depend upon are in serious danger. But don't take my word for it, hear the words of the native people of Canada's Artic lands. Click HERE and learn from this video from the International Institute for Sustainable Development.
